Baddow Hall Surprise on Table Tennis Day

Baddow Hall School pupils got a real surprise in Chelmsford on their last day before breaking up for the summer. Spending some time in Central Park, their first surprise was to find a table tennis table complete with bats and balls to use. Thanks Ping!

So they got stuck in and began to organise themselves with a few games but perhaps a little disappointed that they only had 4 bats to use. Then along comes a Ping! Chelmsford volunteer complete with spare bats and balls together with some games suggestions. So the Baddow Hall players got to sample – how many players on a table at once (8 players plus 4 balls), played round the world, a quick fire tournament with players using first to 3 to find a winner and finally king of the table. They had a great time and were left in no doubt that Table Tennis is the best sport in the world that can be played anytime, anywhere and by anyone. There were some promising players there all keen to keep playing when they return to School in September. In the meantime they have the Ping! Chelmsford tables to keep practicing their skills on.
