Ping! Chelmsford formally launched on Sunday 28th June. This is their first year as a Ping! city and as often the case there were concerns whether the tables would be used. They had nothing to worry about, right from the off the tables proved popular and even in the light rain showers that came and went people carried on regardless.

From the start the number of volunteers getting involved, their enthusiasm in helping people to get on the tables has been tremendous. There were orange shirts all across the city, bat in hand, it made the launch event much easier to run.

Best of all we had more than 300 people who used the parlour tables on the first day alone and it has continued to be popular ever since.
